Ministry Staff
Pastor - Travis Laflin
Travis came to our church in March of 2013 and he grew up just outside of Asheville, NC. He felt the call to ministry when he was 16 years old after going on a foreign mission trip to the Philippines. He graduated from Gardner-Webb University with his Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, and a Minor in Business Administration. He then went on to complete his Masters of Divinity from Gardner-Webb in 2010 with a concentration in Pastoral Care and Counseling. He and his wife Hannah, who grew up in the Shelby/Kings Mountain area, were married in 2004. They have 3 girls, Mattie, Ella & Caroline. Travis enjoys spending time with his family, shepherding the church and being on mission for Christ both nationally and internationally. He also loves to sing, play guitar, spend time on the farm, play sports and fly fish when he’s able.
Music Minister - Jamie Allen
Youth Minister - Charity Hardin
Jamie & Charity were brought together by the Lord through a story of healing and love after the loss of their 1st spouses. Jamie has been part of the music ministry at Concord most of his life. He was brought on staff at Concord the spring of 2014. As minister of music, He leads Sunday morning worship, the adult choir, and children’s choir. When not serving at Concord, Jamie works as LAN Engineer for Rutherford County Schools.
Charity has been in youth ministry since 2007 and came on staff at Concord in the winter of 2021. She has lots of experience, serving here in Rutherford County, and loves to serve and pour into the hearts of teenagers. She also works at Isothermal Community College when not serving at Concord.
Both Jamie & Charity are a true blessing to the ministry and growth of the kingdom. Together Charity & Jamie raise their children Benjamen, Dawson, Audrey, and Dutch and Parker.

Kim Jones
Kim Jones has been a part of the Concord staff family since 2000. She loves sharing the love of Jesus through serving others. She has a great passion for cooking, reading and spending time with family. Kim and her husband, Freddie have two children, Lydia and Trent, along with 5 grandchildren.
Custodian
Jerry Walker
Jerry has been serving as custodian at Concord since 1985. He is 79 years old. He and his wife Marci have five children, ten grandchildren, and four great grandchildren! Jerry also enjoys running sound for our church and serving in many other areas.
